Kristen Lowe lives and works in Minneapolis, MN. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including solo shows at Bradford Gallery in San Francisco, Harvard University, Kingston Gallery in Boston, Thompson Gallery, Flanders Contemporary Art, and Form and Content Gallery in Minneapolis. Solo and group exhibition of her filmmaking include film screenings at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Boston Museum of Fine Art, The Boston Museum School, the Fitzgerald Theater, and broadcasts on PBS television. Her work is in private and public collections, including the Louvre Museum, Paris, where a video she co-directed is held in their Films on Art collection.  Lowe is an Associate Professor at Gustavus College in St Peter, MN. She has been the recipient of grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board, professional faculty development grants, served several schools and Universities as an art juror, and has been a conference speaker on best practice theories in the fine arts. Lowe earned an MFA from Tufts University, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA. and a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and design.
